CFA Legal & Trust Centre
Our commitment to providing an inclusive, understandable and usable experience for every person who visits Consumer Fraud Awareness, including people using assistive technologies.
Section 01
CFA aims to provide equal and meaningful access to consumer reviews, complaints, business information, fraud-awareness resources, verification tools and support services.
We consider accessibility throughout the design, development, content and maintenance of the Platform. Our objective is to reduce barriers, make information easier to understand and support independent use wherever reasonably possible.
Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. While we may not achieve perfect accessibility in every area at all times, we are committed to identifying barriers, responding to feedback and making practical improvements.
Section 02
We seek to align the Platform with recognised accessibility practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, where reasonably applicable to our services and technology.
Perceivable
Important information should be available in forms that users can see, hear or otherwise understand.
Operable
Navigation and interactive controls should work without requiring a mouse wherever practical.
Understandable
Pages, labels, instructions and error messages should be clear, consistent and predictable.
Robust
Content should be compatible with modern browsers, devices and commonly used assistive technologies.
These guidelines inform our work but do not create a guarantee that every page, feature, file or third-party component will conform fully at all times.
Section 03
Depending on the page or service, accessibility features may include:
Section 04
We aim to make essential functions accessible using a keyboard alone. Users should generally be able to move through interactive content using standard controls such as Tab, Shift + Tab, Enter, Space and arrow keys.
Some specialised widgets or third-party components may behave differently. Please contact support if you encounter a keyboard barrier.
Section 05
The Platform is intended to work with commonly used assistive technologies, including screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice-control software, switch devices and browser accessibility tools.
Actual performance may vary according to the device, operating system, browser, software version, user settings and assistive technology being used. For the best experience, we recommend using current versions of mainstream browsers and assistive tools.
When reporting a compatibility problem, details about your browser, device and assistive technology can help us investigate more effectively. Sharing this information is optional.
Section 06
We seek to present content in a clear and readable manner by using legible typography, adequate spacing and appropriate colour contrast.
Users may also use browser zoom, operating-system display settings, contrast modes or personal stylesheets according to their preferences.
Section 07
CFA is designed to adapt across common screen sizes and orientations. On smaller screens, content may reflow, navigation may collapse and tables may require horizontal scrolling.
Section 08
We aim to make important information accessible by providing suitable alternatives where necessary:
| Content type | Our accessibility approach | Possible limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Images and graphics | Meaningful images should include alternative text or nearby explanatory text. | User-submitted images may not always include complete descriptions |
| VidVideoo | Important videos may include captions, transcripts or text summaries where practical. | Older or third-party video may not yet include all alternatives. |
| Audio | Important audio content may be supported by transcripts or summaries. | Live or external audio may have limited alternatives. |
| PDFs and documents | We aim to use accessible structure for important published documents. | Historical, scanned or third-party files may be less accessible. |
| Charts and data | Key findings should be explained in surrounding text where possible. | Complex interactive visualisations may require additional assistance. |
Where an inaccessible document contains important information, users may request reasonable assistance or an alternative format.
Section 09
The Platform may include user reviews, complaint attachments, embedded media, payment services, maps, analytics tools, authentication services, social-media content or links operated by independent third parties.
We encourage accessible practices but cannot control or guarantee the accessibility of external websites, user-generated material or third-party applications. Their accessibility is governed by their own technology, policies and service providers.
Section 10
Despite our efforts, some areas may not yet fully meet our accessibility goals. Potential limitations may include:
We prioritise issues according to user impact, severity, legal requirements, technical feasibility and the importance of the affected service.
Section 11
Accessibility is considered as part of our ongoing platform development. Our improvement activities may include:
Review
Assess pages, components and content for accessibility barriers.
Prioritise
Focus first on high-impact barriers affecting essential journeys.
Improve
Update design, code, content, labels or alternatives where practical.
Reassess
Monitor feedback and test changes as the Platform evolves.
We may use automated testing, manual review, keyboard testing and feedback from users. Automated tools alone cannot identify every accessibility issue, so human experience remains important.
Section 12
If you experience difficulty accessing any part of CFA, please contact us at support@consumerfraudawareness.com.
To help us investigate, you may include:
Please do not send passwords, one-time codes, full payment details, identity documents or other unnecessary sensitive information in an accessibility report.
Section 13
Where reasonably possible, CFA may help users access important information or complete an essential task through an alternative method. Depending on the request, this may include:
The availability, timing and form of assistance will depend on the nature of the request, available resources, security requirements and whether the requested adjustment is reasonable and technically possible.
Section 14
We may update this Accessibility Statement to reflect improvements to the Platform, changes in technology, new accessibility guidance, legal requirements or feedback received from users.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated through the Platform where appropriate.
